PROS -heavy (really helps when cutting) -very good for mincing -great for sushi but this thing cuts anything -strong -beautiful -durable -comfortable handle -the weight makes it great for handling bigger jobs or for cutting firmer vegetables (well for me at least). CONS -the balance is nonstandard for me (the handle is heavy)....don't know if this is just because it's a santoku (are they all handle heavy?). Overall, ...more

This thing will cook up some hotdogs, eggs, grilled cheese sandwiches ect. in a jiffy. They hold their shape, clean up well, and look very nice. I like silicone for it's high level of heat resistance and also because it seems more sanitary.
