I just cannot afford to buy a set of All-Clad and I see a lot of reviewers here said this set is every bit as good as All-Clad so I decided to go with this set. These pans are absolutely gorgeous! They also cook very well. I used the pans for the first time for dinner this evening and made one mistake. Never add salt to a pan of water before it boils. It was pointed out to me by someone on the Amazon message boards and I'm VERY grateful. The outer box was seriously damaged and taped, but the inner box and contents were fine. That might be why they let it go at the lower price. They may not have wanted to risk sending a damaged set to someone who paid a premium price for premium cookware, or they just didn't like how the packaging looked. The set is beautiful... I have made many batches and have figured out I like it best after about 5 or 6 hours, so I just time it myself. The yogurt is fabulous as is, but I have tried to add fruit or flavorings and it will not set up right if I add things to it. I love it plain anyway, or with honey! This is a great yogurt maker and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to make healthier yogurt than you can buy. ...more
